We attended yet another First Responder course with the Norwegian reservist organisation NROF, or @norskreservistforbund recently. If you live in Norway and have any former military experience, or even if you are active duty, we would highly recommend you to look into NROF and what kind of training they can provide, and how you can contribute and be an asset for the Norwegian Armed Forces in case of war or conflict.

Also, for all medics out there, those outside Norway as well... NROF will arrange a medic challenge in May of 2025 where you can compete against other teams from the military, law enforcement, first responders, search and rescue and more. NorArm Training Wing will support NROF on this event, and we hope to see many teams from abroad. We are excited to announce that NROF will arrange the very first Norwegian Medic Challenge in May of 2025, and that we will be one of their sponsors and support on the event as well. Open for teams from abroad too, Norwegian Medic Challenge will be a two-man team based competition where the contestants will go through several challenges throughout the day, before the best team is crowned.

Teams from not just the military, but also law enforcement and other first responders, search and rescue and more are welcome to sign up. We will share more information once the online registration process is ready. Excited to announce that our Training Wing will ar

Excited to announce that our Training Wing will arrange a lecture at NorArm HQ, right outside Oslo, with a Norwegian volunteer medic who just got back home from Ukraine after sustaining injuries during combat. Our friend is a part of @responseglobal, a veteran run NGO, and will talk about and share photos and videoes from his time in Ukraine. We will have another guest speaker as well, so parts of the lecture will be in English.

The lecture will take place at 1200 on the 28th of September. There will be free entrance, refreshments and a 10% discount on our store. We have only 25 available seats for the lecture and will prioritize service members (Home Guard included), first responders and reservists from @norskreservistforbund. We are excited to announce that NorArm has become an official partner of the European Security Academy, better known as ESA, or @euseca. Founded in 1992 and based in Poland, but with training facilities around the globe and accredited by British awarding bodies such as City and Guilds of London Institute, ESA stands out as one of the most established and professional training companies in Europe.

ESA provides training programs for security, law enforcement and military professionals as well as civilians. The ESA Campus in Poland is unparalleled in Europe, offering a wide range of courses with certifications.

Starting soon, we will be able to offer training and courses at ESA through our own Training Wing. Today is four years since the launch of norarm.com

Today is four years since the launch of norarm.com and the Kandahar Combat Uniform. So time for some reflection I guess. When exactly did our story begin? Probably in 2015-16, during my time fighting IS*S, wearing the uniform seen here. It’s a great uniform and in many ways a gold standard. I had three of them, two in Multicam and one in black. They had some flaws in my opinion, but I found them comfortable and practical. And let’s be honest, everyone cares about their appearance, even in this community. It’s like the saying, look good, feel good. Good and reliable gear will give you self esteem, even in a war zone.

In 2019, I met Thomas. He served in the Home Guard and we talked about my old uniform and the fact that it was nearly impossible to get it in Norwegian Woodland. How hard could it be to create a high-end uniform in this camouflage? With both of us having determined and persistent mindsets, we decided that was a task we should take upon ourselves. It turned out it wasn’t easy at all, especially during the early days of COVID. It took a year and a half before we were able to go live.

Fast forward four years. The lessons I have learned running this company. In many ways, it was much easier fighting IS*S or volunteering in Ukraine. The stress of running a company in its startup phase is hard to explain to outsiders. The last year in particular has been extremely challenging as we got in two separate legal battles against some serious players. Being the small company we are, these cases brought us close to a breaking point. However, we are still here. And the strongest steel is forged in the hottest fire.

We have made a name for ourselves in a very difficult industry. We have an extremely talented team now who are designing and showcasing a range of new products in a way I wasn’t able to do when I was running the company by myself. But more importantly... we have you guys, the most loyal customers out there. The support you have shown us over the last four years is actually the biggest surprise for me. And I want you all to know how much we here at NorArm appreciate you, and that we have some great things coming for you. Thank you.
